We were asked to provide a renewable energy heating solution for a residential property built in the 1980s. The property was heated via oil because there was no mains gas in the village and the property owners had become frustrated with the volatility of oil prices and were generally seeking a more environmentally friendly option for their household heating.

An assessment revealed the property would have a heat requirement of 9.8kW so after discussions with the property owners and installer, we supplied a CTC CombiAir 12kW air source heat pump.

This is a speed-controlled air to water heat pumps that adapts to the building’s heating demand throughout the year. For the perfect indoor climate, they provide both heating and cooling operations and come with an intelligent indoor module with 4.3-inch touchscreen display.

In addition, we supplied a 300-litre Joule direct hot water cylinder and 200-litre Joule Buffer Tank
