When it was first built the house used a ground source heat pump for the central heating (from another manufacturer and installer), but it was underpowered and never produced enough heat to keep the house warm. The original ground source heat pump was replaced with an electrical heating system but it didn’t produce enough heat either. Additionally, it was very expensive.

The client is now delighted because the new installation is providing enough heat. The client has reported that for the first time 11 years of ownership, the house is finally consistently warm. His heating bills have also been reduced by 30%. Alongside installing the entire system, which included sinking three arrays in a disused trout lake, Elite carried out the initial survey, designed the entire system and provided all the CAD drawings; this reduced the client’s costs as he didn’t need to engage a separate architect or M&E consultant. It also gave him the advantage of having one point of responsibility for the entire project.
