Key appointments

Go Geothermal has added to its growing team with two key appointments.

Liam Huckerby and Jake Moody have joined the company as Technical Sales Coordinator and CTC Technical Engineer respectively.

Both based in our office near Retford, Liam, 28, and Jake, 24, bring considerable experience in their own fields and are great additions to the team.

Liam joined from a company which sold heat pumps and solar panels, so he has a solid background in renewable energy and in total he has worked in sales for ten years.

His day-to-day responsibilities include drawing up technical specifications, preparing quotes, and liaising with installers.

“I went into renewables as I saw the way the world was going and I knew it would give me longer term career stability,” explains Liam.

“I wasn’t looking to change jobs, but I was approached by a recruitment consultant who thought I would be a good fit for the role, and I am glad I came here because my first impressions of Go Geothermal are very positive.”

Jake is a fully qualified heating and plumbing engineer who spent seven years working for a company which installed gas boilers and cylinders. The company had also started to install air and ground source heat pumps, so Jake received further training in this area.

He says: “I was looking for a change because I had become too comfortable in my previous role and looking at the potential scale of renewables in the future, the decision to come here was easy.”

Jake’s role encompasses everything from providing technical support to installers over the phone and on site, as well as delivering training at our CTC heat pump training centres in the North-East and South-West.

“I am really enjoying it and am looking forward to progressing within the company in the coming years,” he adds.
