Yorkshire Renewable Energy Solutions

We were asked to devise a bespoke intelligent and renewable energy solution for a property built in the Georgian era in a village near Huddersfield.

The property was heated by a gas combi boiler but the owner of the property, who works in the renewable energy field, was seeking a more environmentally friendly option for the family’s household heating and for it to complement other renewable energy features he was adding, including underfloor heating and solar panels.
The householder also had a Tesla Powerwall installed in his property and needed the battery linked to the heat pumps so the energy generated by solar could help power the pumps.

An assessment revealed the property would have a heat requirement of 26kW so after discussions with the property owner and installer, we supplied two CTC EcoAir 622m three-phase heat pumps. These pumps are optimised to make the best possible use of eco-friendly energy in the air. In addition, we supplied a CTC EcoZenith i555 Pro thermal store with built-in intelligent controls which is the perfect solution for larger houses with high hot water demand. The EcoZenith can control the heat pumps and solar panels.

William Cummins, Director of Yorkshire Renewable Energy Solutions, says:

“Throughout the installation we were very conscious of the building’s history so worked closely with Go Geothermal and the homeowner to devise a solution which met all the family’s renewable energy needs whilst protecting the fabric of the property.

“The homeowner is delighted with the results and with support he received from YRES and Go Geothermal through all stages of the project.”
